AAVEG XVII Men’s Football Tournament 2026

Tournament Details

• Sport: Football (Men)
• Registration Fee: ₹2,500 per team
• Winning Amount: ₹25,000 🏆
• Match Format: 11-a-side
• Squad Size: 16 players
• Substitute Players: 5

Tournament Format

• The tournament will begin with league matches followed by knockout stages.
• Teams will be divided into 2 pools, with a minimum of 4 teams in each pool.
• All teams within each pool will play against one another.
• The teams finishing 1st and 2nd in each pool will qualify for the knockout stage.
• The format may be changed depending on the number of participating teams.

Match Duration

• Each match will consist of two halves of 30 minutes each.
• A 5-minute break will be provided between the halves.

Substitution Rules

• Rolling substitutions will be allowed.

Penalty Shootout

• Players for the penalty shootout must be selected from among the 11 players on the pitch when the match ends.
• Players assigned to the penalty shootout card must take their respective kicks.

Kit Requirements

• Proper football shoes are mandatory.
• All jerseys must have numbers printed on the back.

Suspension Rules

• Yellow cards received during the group stage will not be carried forward to the semi-finals.
• Receiving yellow cards in two consecutive matches will result in a one-match ban during the group stage or semi-finals.
• A direct red card will result in a one-match ban, whether received during the group stage, semi-finals or finals.

Reporting Time

• Teams must report at least 10 minutes before their scheduled match time.

Important Requirements

• Each team must submit one standard-size football in playing condition at the desk before their match for the warm-up session.
• Teams must also complete the team sheet at the 4th official's desk.
• A minimum of 7 players must be present on the field at the scheduled match time.
• Failure to meet this requirement will result in a walkover, with 3 points awarded to the opposing team and a scoreline of 3–0.

Referee's Decision

• The referee's decisions will be final.
• The committee reserves the right to ban any player found guilty of misconduct towards the referee or any linesperson.
